2009
Bands of America
Class A
National
Champions!
Indianapolis, Indiana
November 12th-14th, 2009
WOW! This is a word that was heard throughout this past
weekend as the Marching Colonels performed three jaw-dropping
performances to capture the coveted Bands of America
Class A National Championship held in Lucas Oil Stadium
in Indianaplois, Indiana! The Colonels were in the top
22 bands out of 91 after preliminary evaluation and
within the top 11 in competition on Friday. The band
was in such company as Avon, Broken Arrow, and L.D Bell,
all of which were finalists in competition on Saturday
night.
The Colonels repeated the results of last season with
back to back State and National Championship titles
and ending the season in undefeated style. History is
being written at Bourbon County with the build up of
this music program over the past five years.
We would like to say a special THANK YOU to the Hales
and the rest of the staff and parents for making this
such a memorable season.
A special congratulations to all the seniors for making
this another great and winning year!
